Cheyenne Wilderness Retreat Farmstay in Walcha is a farmstay experience just a little over 5 hours from Sydney CBD.
Cheyenne Retreat is located upon the edge of the Macleay Gorge near Walcha, in New South Wales in the New England High Country.
It is a working farm – where you can visit, stay and participate in all the ‘day to day’ farming activities. Get yourselves ‘hands-on’, and engage with the animals. The friendly owners will make sure that your farm stay experience is unique and it starts the very minute you arrive.
This farm is really passionate about providing a memorable farm stay for all guests.
The ethos and motto here is quite simple, “If the kids are happy and busy, mum and dad are going to be happy and relaxed too”!
Cheyenne Wilderness Retreat Farmstay offers a true Farm Stay experience, there are plenty of activities to do here.
Daily animal chores include providing for the needs of chickens, their pig and milking the cow as well as collecting the eggs. Additionally here is a sand pit, swings, bikes to borrow and trampoline or just your let kids run around!
If you don’t have any children that’s fine too – come and enjoy the stunning scenery, get involved – relax and breathe in the country crisp clean.
Stay in one of three fully self / contained accommodations.
The Garden Cottage can sleep up to 6.
It has its own private deck overlooking the very beautiful vistas and magnificent gorge.
Or you maybe should choose the 2 bedroom Homestead – which sleeps just 4. It has a lovely Aussie veranda all the way around it.
There is also a 3 bedroom, two bathroom house, named ‘Bimbimbi’, it is best for a larger group of friends or a family.
