Trudgalong Farm’s rural accommodation is just 3 hours and 14 minutes from Sydney and consists of a delightful cottage. It is located right upon the banks of the Gloucester River – simply expansive and beautiful views.
Situated on Trudgalong Farm it offers loads of interesting farm activities.
The cottage is a gingerbread house – picture perfect, two storey Cape cod style – very romantic, the second floor being a self-contained flat for your family consisting of a queen bedroom, and also a twin room with trundle bed and a folding cot.
A large bathroom offers a bath and shower. All linen provided is provided for your use. The lounge has a sofa bed, a TV and also a DVD. It even has a dining area.
Perhaps sit out on the veranda, and maybe you will see the resident platypus playing in the shallows of the river below.
The kitchen is fully equipped, and it offers the guest a full size fridge and stove. You also have the private use of the veranda and the entrance to the flat.
Please be aware that while pets are welcome onto this area of the property and veranda – but they do not allow them into the flat which is carpeted – there are specially made enclosures for your four legged friend.
The tour for adults and children of the farm where you can feed and handle animals is $10 for adults or they charge just $25 per family.

Bring your group – stay for a few hours – they are set up for large groups and will serve delicious – all the food is homecooked, authentic country style. They have full catering facilities for your group.
Trudgalong’s owners needed to diversify from traditional Australian agricultural crops. To earn a living from this small acreage, they have bred a small herd of Boer Goats – Boers are from South Africa – and they are an heavy meat producing species of goat. They also have a Plant Nursery – making use of recycled water. At local markets Australian native and also exotic plants are available for purchase.
Native stingless bees are kept, and you can learn about and see their homes and watch the farmers make honey.
This property has sheep, ponies, boer goats, cows, guinea pigs and chooks!
You can even catch and release fish for Australian Native Silver Perch in their large ponds at this property.
