Godolphin Country Accommodation is a convict building. Historic self-catering accommodation in a peaceful and secluded setting in the NSW Central Tablelands and is 3 hours and 35 minutes from Bathurst. Cows and sheep only.
The Stables and The Dairy are located in the three acre grounds of the working beef and sheep property ‘Godolphin’, just off the Mitchell Highway at Gyong – home to the first gold discoverers.
Large two storey convict built Cornish style building. Is Self catering and offers Three double bedrooms plus extra singles for children. There are two bathrooms. And there are Downstairs and upstairs living spaces and dining room- keep cosy warm with wood heater and open fire… A large farmhouse table – seating 10 is to be found in the Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. The kitchen is combined with the dining and living area.
TV, DVD and CD and even a Ipod player
The downstairs loungeroom was originally a schoolroom for the property’s children. They were tutored sitting by the fireplace in the late 1800s. Near the stairs, you will see where the current family kept their horse bridles and saddles in the 1950s – and they still remain there today.
Features three double bedrooms one with ensuite, plus three extra single beds suitable for children.
It has a fully equipped farmhouse kitchen and dining area with large communal table seating for 10.
as well as downstairs and upstairs sitting rooms and main bathroom.
The lounge area downstairs has an inglenook open fireplace, and the kitchen / dining area features a modern slow combustion wood heater.
One of the bedrooms is the original stables Tool Room (or workshop), and another was the Chaff Room where hay and feed for the horses were kept. The spacious loft upstairs provided additional storage for fodder and grain, and these days it is used as a large third bedroom / sitting area for visiting families and children.
The accommodation is close to Byng and other historic villages, award winning restaurants and cool climate wineries. Both buildings have been renovated retaining the original rustic features while providing comfort and modern facilities.
Small historic colonial cottage for two. It is a Self catering cottage with one double bedroom – with an ensuite bathroom. Additionally there is a single bed in enclosed sunroom, and even and extra single if needed – perhaps this would be good for a little family.
There is a Combined kitchen and living room as well as the enclosed verandah-sunroom with double glazed windows.The kitchenette consists of a Gas cook top, microwave and gas BBQ.
