Dingo Dam Cottage
Independent with your NSW farmstay?
Offering late 1800s style living – old iron beds, candles, wash stands, claw foot bath, pot belly stove and timber walls and floors – “Dingo Dam” cottage is just for you! It is a quirky cottage and actually consists of the original dwelling at Wave Hill.
However a few luxuries have been installed – a flushing toilet, solar lights, gas cooking and gas refrigerator.This makes this NSW farmstay accommodation rustic but comfortable!
The “donkey system” where a slow fire burns beneath a water-filled 44-gallon drum – hot water is always available and as much as you like .
One Queen in a bedroom and one double bed in a bed room – two single beds too. Linen is not provided in your base tarrif – either bring your linen or hire it. Right on ‘Dingo Dam’ enjoy fishing and swimming.
Orange Tree Cottage sleeps 6 people, built in the 1960s and decorated with retro-inspired eclectic style furnishings and restored timber floor – just right for a couple or a family wanting an outback experience, but with a few more modern conveniences.
Orange Tree Cottage has three bedrooms – one double, bunks and two singles as well. It is the former station hand’s quarters and is located a stone’s throw from the yards, it has a magnificent setting with the mountain behind, and overlooks Dingo Dam.
Enjoy the seclusion of the real Aussie countryside, but with the modern comforts of a fully equipped kitchen – microwave, fridge and freezer, gas cooking, bathroom and laundry with a washing machine, lounge, dining and television.
It also has a fenced in yard, and is children and pet friendly too.

If so the Gorge View Lodge could be the one for you!
This cosy two-bedroom abode has all the home comforts required, including compost toilet, a shower, solar lighting, gas fridge and stove, a combination lounge and meal prep area, a dining table, and a of course the good ole country open log fireplace. There is a large open deck, where you can sit and drink in the sensational panorama of the Clarence River, and the beginning of the Gorge. Complete with timber bar stools and a beaut Aussie Barbie.
Camping and fishing are permitted.
Horseback riding, kayaking and 4 wheel drive outings are available.
Campsites are also available, but there are also on-site Caves Falls Safari Tents.
A Tennis court and swimming pool too will keep you fit – this huge horse and cattle station provides every opportunity to understand the true Australian Bush.
